This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
For a while I have been unsatisfied with my camera and way in which I edit photos. It is to instant and impersonal for me. In my search for something solid that is solely based on my skill -and not some computer program- I have started to teach myself more about large format photography. I want to seclude myself and get my hands dirty engulfed in my work.
There is just something about the process of preparing, capturing and developing B&W photos using a 4x5 -or larger feild camera- that just beguiles me. The pros and cons of using a 4x5 have me convinced it is the camera of my dreams. The process of using a large format camera is drench in ritual and seems sacred. The time and effort that is placed in one photo is beautiful...simply uncanny.
For now I will continue to use my digital but I long for the day when I'll have my own 4x5 field camera. Honestly I do not know a lot about professional photography. I just point and click capturing images I find interesting at angles pleasing to my senses. Photography classes are something I have never taken nor have I even bothered to read the majority of manuals that have come with the cameras I have had over the years.
So for me the time has come to move forward...and start saving.
